Mental health peer support for young people in Islington

Having mental health problems can make you feel lonely, and like no one understands what you're going through. This is where peer support can help. Peers are people who've had similar experiences and are able to support each other in a unique way. People often find this type of peer support extremely helpful.

iBUG's peer mental health support group is specifically aimed at young people aged 18-25 who live in Islington and have experienced mental health problems.

It is not a therapy group, but a structured space facilitated by two trained young people who both have their own experiences of mental health problems. It is a space to share what's troubling you with others who have had similar experiences. You can find out what has helped others, and have a safe space to talk about things you might not usually share with friends or family.

Groups are held on the second Wednesday of every month, from 7-8:30pm. Attendance is completely free and refreshments are provided. Attending once is not a commitment to joining the group on a regular basis - why not drop in and meet everyone?
